Admittance is the starting of repentance.

The Butcher of Children, Shlomo Mandel, is smiling in this picture. He won't be smiling in hell.
Help Save Israel

http://www.noahide.com/newsletter/news69.htm

Read Below how SHLOMO MANDEL doesn't give a damn about saving Jewish Lives. He only cares about his KOVOD.

The Responsibility of Every Single Jew to Participate in the Campaign to
"Stop Funding the Terrorist PLO!"

It is our duty to inform every Jew of the following Torah principles:

  • Every Jew, regardless of age or position, has an obligation under Jewish law to save the life of a fellow Jew whose life is in danger (the obligation of ).
  • This obligation "pushes aside the entire Torah" (), meaning that it overrides, if necessary, the observance of virtually any other part of Jewish law — even Shabbos, Yom Kippur, or the like ().
  • When the time comes to save a life (or lives), a Jew is absolutely forbidden to ask permission to do so, even from a Rav or any other authority; Jewish law states that by asking for authorization, a Jew would be wasting precious time and effort that is needed for the saving of lives, and would be giving others the false impression that saving lives might be optional, or that someone may have the authority to override this obligation.
  • The Table of Jewish Law () states that any rabbi who is asked by a member of his community for permission to save lives is considered shamed and disgraced (), since he previously failed to teach clearly that they must not ask his permission in such a case.
  • Indeed, Jewish law requires the rabbi to precede his entire congregation in rushing forward to save lives, so as to provide a proper example to others ().
  • A Jew who fulfills his duty to save a life is considered as if he has saved the entire world.
  • One who fails to carry out his responsibility is considered by Torah as if he actually participated in the murder of his fellow Jews.
  • One who sees his fellow Jews not carrying out their responsibility of saving lives must speak out and pressure those Jews to do their duty; if another person, despite knowing his responsibility, still refuses to act, "we shame him publicly, publicize his (ongoing) sin, reproach him to his face, and despise and curse him, until he will return to what is proper" (), if this is the only way to make him take proper action.
  • One who discourages his fellow Jews from saving lives, or who even fails to speak out to force them to take action, is considered one who causes the masses to sin; he loses his place in the World to Come (), and is hindered — or even blocked altogether, if his terrible sin persists — from doing teshuvah (repentance and return) for his heinous act of betrayal ().
  • Various authorities, including the Lubavitcher Rebbe, have unequivocally applied the principle of saving lives to the current situation in Israel, in which Jews are being forced to surrender in stages to our enemies — especially to the Marxist, terrorist Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) and various affiliated groups (); these terrorists continue to make clear their objective of utterly destroying the nation of Israel and murdering all its citizens ().
  • The organization "Jews And Hasidic Gentiles — United to Save America" (JAHG-USA) has spearheaded a campaign to terminate U.S. government funding for the PLO and its various front organizations, financing which amounts to hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars each year, and which may well be the primary funding source for the terrorists, without which their operations would cease and uncountable Jewish lives would be saved.
  • Therefore, we the undersigned endorse the materials produced by JAHG-USA for this PLO-defunding campaign, including the petition "An Urgent Call to Stop Funding the Terrorist PLO!", the flier "Is America Ready for Judgment Day?", and the book A Brilliant Disguise: How Israel's Enemies Have Concealed their True Identity and Fatal Weakness; these materials should be used by every single Jew in America in an emergency campaign to save Jewish lives — which is obligatory for all Jews.
  • The efforts to neutralize Israel's enemies should not be limited to the above, but should also include any other productive efforts leading to the destruction of the PLO and its allies and sponsors.

THE HALL OF SHAME…
Have Some Jewish Leaders Betrayed the Torah?

This week's example:
Rabbi Shlomo Mandel, Dean, Yeshiva & Mesivta of Brooklyn, Brooklyn, NY

A JAHG-USA volunteer showed Rabbi Mandel our PLO-defunding Proclamation last September 29th. He excused himself from signing by saying he doesn't sign such things (presumably meaning proclamations?) — but then bluntly admitted he would sign the Proclamation if other prominent rabbis in Brooklyn would do so.

In other words, the rabbi implicitly acknowledged there was absolutely nothing wrong with the Proclamation itself, insofar as he would theoretically be willing to sign it. He thus also agreed, in effect, that he would be an appropriate leader to endorse the Proclamation. So what was his problem? He didn't want to stand out alone on the issue; he would only participate if everyone, absolutely everyone else, were also doing so. By no means did he want to risk being the slightest bit controversial with anyone.

Since Rabbi Mandel's refusal, we have received the endorsements of several leading rabbis in Flatbush, one of the Brooklyn areas from which he wanted to see others sign; in fact, JAHG-USA's campaign was endorsed by virtually all the directors of the Vaad HaRabonim, the official rabbinical council for Flatbush.

Rabbi Mandel is the head of a major (non-Hasidic) yeshiva in Brooklyn, and he has much potential influence, for better or for worse. It is truly astonishing that, these days, leaders are more afraid to speak out on what they know is right (as Rabbi Mandel essentially acknowledged regarding our Proclamation) than are people of "lower" status. But soon people like Rabbi Mandel may find themselves utterly isolated from the Jewish community for having waited until almost everyone else has endorsed the PLO-defunding campaign.

THE HALL OF SHAME…
Have Some Jewish Leaders Betrayed the Torah?

This week's example:
Rabbi Yisroel Pichey, Yeshiva & Mesivta of Brooklyn, Brooklyn, NY

A couple of weeks ago, we profiled the "refusenik" Rabbi Shlomo Mandel, Dean of the orthodox (though non-Hasidic) Yeshiva & Mesivta of Brooklyn, a prominent school for Jewish boys. He refused to sign the PLO-defunding Proclamation, even while essentially admitting there was nothing wrong with the document, unless he could hide behind other prominent rabbis who would sign first.

On that same visit to the yeshiva (last September 29th), the JAHG-USA volunteer first went to Rabbi Pichey, one of the yeshiva's teachers working under Rabbi Mandel. Since his boss hadn't yet been approached and hadn't yet refused, Rabbi Pichey didn't have any basis to fear speaking out. But there seems to be a general atmosphere of cowardice, so he started making various evasive excuses not to sign (none of which rejected the content of the Proclamation itself). Upon our volunteer's persistence, Rabbi Pichey took the Proclamation over to a fellow teacher to ask what he thought (as if he doesn't have his own mind or conscience!). Then he sent our volunteer to the Dean (Rabbi Mandel, who then refused, as mentioned above); by the time the volunteer returned to ask Rabbi Pichey one last time, the rabbi had conveniently vanished and was not to be found.

"Passing the buck" is a widespread disease, as it turns out. Perhaps someone will develop a vaccine…

No one is immune from sinning. Even Moshe Rabainu sinned, albeit, his sin was hitting the rock for water in order to quench the thirst of klal yisroel. The gates of heaven never close. However, after the soul leaves this world, the gates are closed forever. The opportunity to repent is there, but we must take it before it's too late.

Some of the citizens of Monsey NY, and those who have passed through monsey in the past 9 years or so, are SICKENED by Moshe Finkel, butcher and owner of Shevach meat store in Monsey NY, to the point of physically vomiting non-stop - upon hearing they may have eaten treifa meat for the better part of a decade. I'm told that one of the very "SICKENED" ones, was "Rabbi" Shlomo Mandel, The Rosh Yeshiva of - Yeshiva of Brooklyn, located on Avenue L and Ocean Pkwy. Poor Shlomo Mandel - He recalled, how on the many simcha's he attended in Monsey NY, he would be fressing on a piece of schnitzel, or a chicken leg, and he was eating pure trefe meat. OY VEY! How can Shlomole ever ask mechila from hakodosh baruch hu? How did the "Holy" Shlomo Mandel ever become susceptible to eating outright treifa meat? He out of all people? Moshe Finkel, the baal tokeah, the baal tefila, - the trusted butcher of MONSEY NY, was brutally un-repentant in making the klal sin - time and time again.

Poor Shlomele, by now he was on his 20th vomiting attempt. Sticking his middle finger down his windpipe again, he threw up some more. He still hasn't accepted that he had eaten meat that was not even schected according to Jewish Law. It disgusted Shlomo Mandel, that he declared he will fast a tanis tzibur of at least 8 years, to cover the length of time he was consuming treifa chicken and meat into his holy body.

And then it suddenly occured to Shlomo Mandel that, he was indeed a VICTIM. He was a victim of eating non-kosher meat. It's not the victims fault that he happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Shlomele, recalls the time he was busy fressing away on chicken and meat delicacies, at a wedding in Monsey NY. His eyes welled up with crocodile tears, and he began to weep and vomit some more.

Trying to comfort poor mandel was not such an easy task. Yehuda Nussbaum (Shatnez big shot) was at hand trying to comfort his buddy, and this is what yehuda said to shlomele: It could have been much worse Shlomele, says Nussbaum. At least you still have a job at YOB, while I am unemployed, and walk the streets in search of friends. And At least Shlomele, you defended me all those years that i was sexually and physically abusing 5th grade boys, and other students. You got away with Murder shlomele, this monsey treifa meat scandal, is at least not your responsibility, while in the molestation and physical abuse that you swept under the rug all these years through intimidation and reckless abandonment, is something you should be more nervous about if you really want to do Tshuva, and you should hope that it doesn't come back to haunt you.

Holy Shlomo Mandel, is by now inconsolable. How can Nussbaum blame him for acting like a hoodlum, he was only trying to save the reputation of YOB, and of course by extension, his own reputation as well. If people were to find out that his yeshiva was run like an abou garib prison, they would stop supporting him and the Yeshivah. They would stop coming to his shul on shabbos. They would start doubting what sounds to them like fake crying, especially when saying some kapitlache tehilim. Shlomo Mandel would lose his pride, his kovod. And in no way or fashion was shlomele going to allow a child abuse scandal in his yeshiva, to take him down. His demise would spell failure, and he cannot accept the outrage he will experience had he owned up to his own YOB scandal. Shlomele tells his buddy nussbaum to behave and not allow his urge to molest and abuse the boys, take the yeshivah down. Do it where they can't prove that it's you Yehudah. I will cover this up for you, but you're starting to get out of control Yehudale.

In the end it occured to shlomo mandel, that for the Monsey meat scandal he vomited non-stop, but for his own Yehivah Of Brooklyn horror of horrors, he did not even vomit ONE time. Not even once. And to make matters worse, shlomele thought about why he didn't even call for a ONE day Tanis Tzibur on behalf of all the boys that were physically and sexually abused in his yeshivah.

Shlomele, explained his reasoning as follows: He has 2 standards he adehrs to. Frumkeit, and Erlichkeit. Frumkeit is necessary, because you must be holy all the time. Erlichkeit is secondary to frumkeit, because frumkeit always overrides erlichkeit. So what I'm trying to say, Yehudale, is that Child abuse in YOB is something that is not Erlichkeit, and therefore Frumkeit overrides this. Frumkeit is where we overlook sins such as boys groped in private areas by their rebbe. Frumkeit, is where we overlook the hitting, punching, and merciless beatings that were inflicted to the students who were under our care. Frumkeit is where we sacrifice the sins of today for the benefit of the talmidim who will want to come to our yeshivah in the future. You know that our mesifta never made it Yehuda, and i am trying to convince students who have reached bar daas, that what they went through as young boys in elementary school will only make them into bigger masmidim in the esteemed YOB Mesiftah. You like my sevorah Yehudale? It's a nice pshat and chap I came up with, right yudel?

All the beatings, sexual abuse, physical abuse, mental abuse, and coverups- that were the result of sickening acts of Rabbi's => Manis Mandel, shlomo mandel, Yakov mandel, Yehuda Nussbaum, "rabbi" Fuchs (the deranged 6th grade rabbi of yob), will never go un-punished or forgotten. The big faker that Shlom Mandel is - will eventually lead to his departure from the chinuch scene (hopefully behind bars). This horrible man has no part of Olam Habah, but he does have a huge part in Geonim. His seat has been reserved a long time ago.

Does anyone remember Yeshiva Ketana of Ocean Avenue (Ave T)? My Mother recalls getting this phone call from the principal, Rabbi London, who barked into the phone that my mother better come down to the school at once to discuss the poor academic grades of my brother. Being new to America, having moved back here in 1985 after making aliyah to Israel, my mother who was pregnant at the time, walked to ave T and ocean avenue(a far walk), wheeling a baby carriage, and being utterly exhausted. When she got there, Rabbi London took out a paper and began yelling at her: Look at the way your son writes. His handwriting is so sloppy. This is what he called my mother in for, this was the BIG emergency that he had to have my pregnant mother schlep a baby carriage all the way to avenue T and ocean avenue, because my brother's handwriting was "sloppy".

People really have their priorities set in order, don't they? No wonder Yeshiva Ketana of ocean avenue never made it. Aside from this, there was the physical abuse that was occurring there as well, so thank G-D they are no longer in business.

Last but not least: There are unfourtanetley many FAKE Jews who are an embarrassment to Hashem and every single REAL Jew out there. The pitiful excuses that people make for the Mandel's, Kolko, Margulis, Eisen, Byrks, Lazarowitz, Nussbaum, Fuchs, London, Finkel, Belsky, Mondrowitz, and the many more un-worthy so called "rabbi's" and "leaders" are the BIGGEST problems facing the Jewish communities today. The Ignoramous out there, and the excuse making "frummies" are also just as guilty as the ones who covered up the abuse, and those who were the violators of these innocent victims. Chas vesholom someone broke Shabbos, that person should be burned, the "frummies" say - But if that same person who was mechallel Shabbos, saves your son or daughter from being run over by a truck, would the "frummies" call out - Hey look at that person who doesn't keep shabbos, he's a big loser. He should be burned at the stake. Oh: and by the way, this person that saved my son from getting killed, is someone we should spit and defecate on, because he does NOT keep shabbos. Makes perfect sense doesn't it? The frummies will agree that this mechallel shabbos shagetz, should be chayov misa, even though he saved your son from getting the low down run down feeling of an 18 wheeler, crushing every little bone in your son's body. Call the cops on this mechallel shabbos who saved your son from death, why don't you?

I couldn't care less if UOJ did not keep shabbos, or was having a family dinner at Burger King. It is of no relevance. It is a distraction from the real issues at hand - that the "frummies" like to point out time and time again. UOJ is a TZADIK GUMUR. The gates of heaven are wide open for him. The multiple good angels that UOJ (and ben) have created, outweigh the negatives time and time again. I envy the place that Gan Eden has reserved for UOJ. The real crime mongerers, that are scared to sleep at night lest they be next to be exposed, are shivering in their black hats, bekeshers, and shtreimels. The real haters of klal yisroel are the so called "frummies" who try to divert us from the real issues. I would rather be acquatinted with someone who is mechallel shabbos, anytime, than the Frummies who keep shabbos and then stab the next person in the back.

In a court of secular law or Jewish law: should we not believe the victims who no longer keep shabbos? Is that what all this narashkeit is all about? Even a small fly has more brains than these foolish excuse making Jews. It's sad that I actually have to spell out the obvious to these "frum" Jews. No wonder there are so many people who go off the derech. No wonder child molesting Rabbis still have or had a job all these years. No wonder the top honchos who were supposed to do something about the physical and sexual abuse YEARS ago, still are in the business of WATCHING and being RERSPONSIBLE for our kids, when they should have been BEHIND BARS at Rikers Island years and years ago. No wonder "rabbi" (faker of all fakers) Shlomo Mandel was nicshal in that he ate Treifa chicken. Mida Kneged Midah. Shlomele was nichshal the Klal by covering up sexual and physical abuse to this day, and therefore hashem made poor shlomo Mandel eat trefa meat. And that extends to other unworthy Jews as well. Does anyone remember the old age story in Crackow, where the villagers started dying out in a plague? Unbeknownst to the villagers, they were eating treifa meat from the local butcher, and therefore they were being killed left and right. It was only after the local Rov figured out that Jews were eating nevails and treifas that he declared that all the people of that town must do Tshuva immediately. And when the people repented, the plague stopped.

Moranun Veraboisai (those that still have any human decency left), I strongly urge you to wake up from your slumber. You must be stronger in advocating for the safety of our children and our next generations. The "leaders" such as Mandel and Margulis should 100% be held accountable for their evil actions or evil non-actions. These " Roshei Hayeshiva's" are nothing more than Reshoim Gedolim who are disguised in black hats, gartels, and kapote's. They are chayav misa bedi shamayim, and deserve the disrespect they earned. Shlomele and Lipa's time at their respective helms should come to an abrupt end NOW. These chicken weasels have VERY HOT seats waiting for them in gehenim. The naysayers, and excuse makers for these butchers of our children, will join them there as well.

I would stand up out of respect everytime UOJ walked into a room, and i would spit on the ground Shlomo Mandel and Lipa Margulis walk on. These "roshei hayeshiva's" are no better then Ted Bundy, David Berkowitz, Jeffery Dahmer, Saddam Hussein, Charles Manson, Avrom Modrowitz, and Osama bin Laden. The only difference is the headdress, and the clothing they disguise themselves in. What it all boils down to is this: Those who defend the abusers are chickens and weasels who run away from their problems. Those who stay quiet, are sinning because of their non-actions, also a chicken weasel mentality. Those who don't stand by quietly while these atrocities are being committed, are yirei shomayim. They are Pinchus ben elazar. They would make Noach (ish zadik tamim haya bedoyrosi) very proud. They would make Moshe Rabainu very proud. And certainly, Hakodosh baruch hu, will reward these righteous people who stand up for humanity, and stand down for immorality. May hashem have mercy on his children Amen!

U.S. Supreme Court Will Hear Child Molestation Case

Why do victims wait so long to report child molestation?

The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry estimates 80,000 incidents of childhood sexual abuse are reported each year, and a greater number go unreported.1

People who haven't lived with the horrors of child molestation may find it very difficult to understand why someone would wait twenty or thirty years before reporting the crimes to authorities. Victims have stayed silent for many reasons, often a combination of factors.

  • They are told not to tell
Child molesters convince their victims to "keep our little secret" in a number of devious ways. The victims are told that they'll get into trouble, that no one will believe them, and sometimes more heinously, that the abuser will harm another family member if the child tells. Small wonder that the young victims become such good keepers of secrets.
  • They don't know they can get help
Today, many children are educated early-on to report "inappropriate touching" to a parent, teacher, school nurse, or the police. In the 1950s and 1960s, however, children were not encouraged to talk about "such things." They lived in a "don't ask - don't tell" society, and buried their feelings, in order to survive.
  • They are afraid they will not be believed
Sadly, especially when reporting incest to another relative, a child is often not believed. Mothers simply do not want to hear of such vile deeds perpetrated by a husband or son. Unless the child victim goes on to report the crimes to someone outside the family, they simply give up, thinking "no one really cares."
  • They assume the shame for themselves
Child molesters are manipulative and take advantage of the burden of self-guilt and shame that most victims of pedophiles grow up with.
  • They repress or dissociate
Memories of the abuse thrust upon the victim are so horrific that the young mind can't deal with them, and "zones out." These memories are repressed, and often do not surface until many years later, if ever.
  • They "transcend" their abuse
Unfortunately, many victims of child sexual abuse become drug and alcohol users, or relive their abuse through promiscuity - thus "transcending" the abuse by another into self-abuse. The resultant psychological problems, such as PTSD or Bipolar Disorder become so severe that the victims become paralyzed to act, if they remain untreated.
  • They are embarrassed to come forward
Adult victims who have survived do not want to "rock the boat" of their relatively normal lives by risking the publicity of a trial. They fear the smirks and knowing looks some people still give when the subject of child molestation arises, and it is easier just to continue with the "status quo" of their lives.
  • They are prohibited from reporting by outdated statute of limitations laws
Ironically, many victims, once they have reached the psychological and emotional stage where they feel comfortable in reporting those old crimes against their innocence, find that old dinosaur statutes of limitations prohibit them from doing so. It was exactly this reason that compelled the California legislature to revise its laws governing the prosecution of cases involving sexual acts against children. Other states have also relaxed statutes of limitations for such crimes.

Fair for Whom?

Mario Stogner's lawyer says it isn't fair for the State to promise his client sanctuary against prosecution, then many years later to take it away. He would apparently prefer the old scenario, where a child molester only had to "lay low" for a given number of years after his crimes, and then he would be "home free" for life. For years, this was the law in California.

Yet, how fair is it that a victim who, after years of internal struggle, finally becomes mentally prepared to press charges, only to discover that the way to justice is barred by the statute of limitations?

For decades, laws and court decisions have been focused on protection of those accused of crimes. Child abuse victim advocates are asking, "Who will protect the victims?" In revising §803(g) of the California Penal Code in 1996, the California legislature left no doubt that the intent was to even the odds for adult victims of childhood sexual abuse. If the U.S. Supreme Court finds otherwise in Stogner vs California, that decision will truly rock the nation.

The High Holy Days

I never thought I'd use the word "High" and "Holy" in the same sentence, it seems too spiritual - in a time of un-spirituality. I go to shul Yom Kippur night and pray for G-D to forgive me. The crowded shul, made me feel claustrophobic. Somehow my heart wasn't buying into this Yom Kippur davening. There was a fellow to my left who was SCREAMING on top of his lungs. He was yelling from the machzor, and frankly my ears were ringing. Perhaps he REALLY was doing tshuvah, and i commend him for that, but doesn't G-D hear us in any kind of tone. Certainley, yelling and screaming, like the sound resmebling some death metal music, is not what hashem intended from us during yom kippur, is it?

I heard him crying during shemonei esrei, and somehow, this all didn't seem right to me. I wanted to run out of shul right then. I couldn't take not even one more minute of this. I felt in my heart, that this was all one big show. I felt that this day of forgiveness was all an act. Scream, yell, and cry, as did many - what does it all mean if everyone goes back to their sinning ways right after Yom Kippur is over? What kind of movie script is this? What do all those tears shed mean, if we don't mean to change our ways?

So berate me if you will, but i am not buying into this fakearoo mentality, that coincides with frummies doing what they do best - going through the motions of a Rosh hashonah and a Yom Kippur, as if we are really so sorry for our indecent ways and our foolish decisions, and our deadly silence that has killed and ruined many victims of child abuse throughout the decades. I wanted to be forgiven for my misdeeds and my wrongdoing, yet somehow i couldn't bring myself to do it together with everyone else in this crowded shul on this yom kippur night. After shmonei Esrei, i retreated back to my home, and said the rest of the prayers there all by myself. The next day, i went to another synogogue, and found it a lot more refreshing. The people in this shul were mostly senior citizens, and i felt a certain bond and closeness to them. The melodies and songs we sang praising hashem and asking him to forgive us, was very uplifiting and moving. One elderly man who was well into his 90's, asked me if he had to say "vei noaam" by maariv following Neila prayers. I had noticed him throughout davening. I noticed it was hard for him to stand, but he did so anyway. I wanted to hug him and say to him, a man who has reached a ripe old age, such as yourself, has nothing to worry about. The sincerity of this man, overtook me. I wished him "gezunte year" and he wished the same for me. I hope i get to see him next year again.

Well, it is now official. A new Jewish year is here. Will it bear us more treifa chicken and meat scandals? Will child molestation and other forms of child abuse, continue to flourish, in our schools and neighborhoods, or will someone have the guts to put a stop to it? Will power and greed corrupt more of our so called rabbi's and leaders? Will the "frummies" continue to unequivocally defend the evil, and paint the victims as the problem? Will the abuse of the Torah and perversion of it, still be used to bash those who seek the truth? Will all the excuses such as loshon harah, mesira, chilul hashem etc. still be the tactic of the "frummies" who will defend to no end, the malicious and unrepentant people, who do NOTHING to defend and help our children, the victims of every imaginable crimes committed against them?

I am happy that a very bad person is no longer a threat to children. B'H, "Rabbi" Yehuda Nussbaum is no longer employed at YOB. It took a lot of hard work and dedication, and hopefully this man will never ever abuse children again. The question though remains. What about accountability for those who allowed this inexplicable behavior to continue day after day, month after month, and year after year? "Rabbi" Manis Mandel, "Rabbi' Shlomo Mandel, "Rabbi" Yaakov Mandel - All knew good and well about child molestation and abuse charges against Nussbaum, for years and years, and yet tried to cover it up by using the many excuses "frummies" love to use. They blamed the victims, blamed the parents, went into denial, and then started using threats and intimidation to try and back us off. And these people still have jobs in chinuch? That is a huge inexcusable crime. The Mandel's used a series of mob-like maneuvering in a bid to cover their tracks, but as the saying goes - You can run but you cannot hide. Time has come for Shlomo Mandel to rid himself from YOB, or face the inevitable consequences of us getting rid of him.

Now, tell me if this picture makes sense to you. A father searches for a Yeshiva for his pre-1a son. He has a difficult time getting his son in any of the Brooklyn Yeshiva's, because he applied late. He looks into YOB - and they tell the father they will run a full background check on the child, as well as the family of the child. YOB, after much consideration, will accept the child, providing the tuition is adequately paid. Kid comes home from school one day, and tells his father his rebbe hit him (new school year 2006-2007 just started). Father speaks to the rebbe who admits hitting child on the hand. He apologizes and promises it won't happen again. Now, why the father would send his son to YOB after knowing the abuse that goes on there, is a little disturbing to me, but i realize why the father did it, he was desperate. What astounds me even more, though, is that abuse is STILL taking place, this after us exposing YOB and forcing Nussbaum to the unemployment field. Yes, some can make an argument that hitting a child on his hand, is not that terrible, yet, I argue, that it is most definitely very wrong for a rebbe to hit a child, for any reason, even on the hands. There are other non-violent methods that work great in classroom management and in chinuch. It is NOT a Rebbe's place to hit or abuse students in any way - not in pre-1a, not in 5th grade, not in 9th grade, and not in any grade. This is a BIG problem, that occurs WITH the parents approval at the many chasideshe yeshivas, and many non-chasideshe yeshivas. If a parent wants to teach their children right from wrong, and feel hitting them on the hand LIGHTLY, will get the response they were looking for, then even though i do not agree with that technique, i can relate somewhat to that. However, a Rebbe, teacher, or any other outsider, has no business hitting kids, even if they are hitting them LIGHTLY (which more times than not, is a BEATING of a lifetime they won't soon forget).

Perhaps, yeshiva institutions should begin retiring their Rebbeim along with a compensation package, once they reach a certain age. Too many times, these old rebbeim are forced back into the only profession they know, purely for parnassah, and not for the dedication and love of the job. Therefore, they become impatient, arrogant, impulsive, and abusive, and who suffers most because of it? The children! It is time to change that trend now. I am not tying to infer that only old rebeim abuse children, quite the contrary. Young and old can be abusive. However, I think once a rebbe reaches retirement age, it's best he call it a career and get some retirement benefits. This will alive some of the abuse in our yeshiva's. And especially, in the instance of this pre1a rebbe, who I do not think is a bad person, yet, surely he has reached his limitations. And surely the Abu garib mentality that is YOB, has rubbed off on him and others.

The FBI is examining former Rep. Mark Foley's e-mail exchanges with teenagers to determine if they violated federal law, an agency spokesman said Sunday.

FBI spokesman Richard Kolko said the FBI is "conducting an assessment to see if there's been a violation of federal law." He had no further comment.

House Speaker Dennis Hastert requested Sunday that the Justice Department conduct an investigation into Foley's electronic messages to teenage boys — a lurid scandal that has put House Republicans in political peril.

"As Speaker of the House, I hereby request that the Department of Justice conduct an investigation of Mr. Foley's conduct with current and former House pages to determine to what extent any of his actions violated federal law," Hastert, R-Ill., wrote in a letter to Attorney General Alberto Gonzales.

The White House and Democratic leaders in Congress also called Sunday for a criminal probe. White House counselor Dan Bartlett called the allegations against Foley shocking, but said President Bush hadn't learned of Foley's inappropriate e-mails to a 16-year-old boy and instant messages to other boys before the news broke last week.

"There is going to be, I'm sure, a criminal investigation into the particulars of this case," Bartlett said. "We need to make sure that the page system is one in which children come up here and can work and make sure that they are protected."

Foley, R-Fla., quit Congress on Friday after the disclosure of the e-mails he sent to a former congressional page and sexually suggestive instant messages he sent to other high school pages.

A law enforcement official, who asked for anonymity because the investigation is ongoing, said agents from the FBI's cyber division are looking into the text of some of the messages and checking to see how many e-mails were sent and how many computers were used. They are also looking to see if some of the teens who were sent messages will cooperate with the probe.

Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid of Nevada called the Foley case "repugnant, but equally as bad is the possibility that Republican leaders in the House of Representatives knew there was a problem and ignored it to preserve a congressional seat this election year."

Reid said the case should be handled outside Congress.

"Under laws that Congressman Foley helped write, soliciting sex from a minor online is a federal crime," Reid said. "The alleged crimes here are far outside the scope of any congressional committee, and the attorney general should open a full-scale investigation immediately."

In his letter to Gonzales on Sunday, Hastert asked the Justice Department to investigate "who had specific knowledge of the content of any sexually explicit communications between Mr. Foley and any former or current House pages and what actions such individuals took, if any, to provide them to law enforcement."

The scope of the investigation, Hastert wrote, should include "any and all individuals who may have been aware of this matter — be they members of Congress, employees of the House of Representatives or anyone outside the Congress."

Hastert also sent a letter to Florida Gov. Jeb Bush on Sunday requesting that he "direct the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to conduct an investigation of Mr. Foley's conduct with current and former House pages."

Hastert maintained at first that he had learned only last week about the e-mails. But Rep. Thomas Reynolds (news, bio, voting record), head of the House Republican election effort, said Saturday he had told Hastert months ago about concerns Foley sent inappropriate messages to a teenage boy. Reynolds, R-N.Y., is under attack from Democrats who say he did too little to protect the boy.

Hastert acknowledged over the weekend that his aides had, in fact, referred the matter to the House clerk and to the congressman who was chairman of the board that oversees the page program. Hastert's office said, however, it had not known the e-mails were anything more than "over-friendly."

Majority Republicans engineered a House vote Friday that refers the Foley matter to the House ethics committee, but lets that panel decide whether there should even be an investigation.

Rep. Nancy Pelosi of California, the House Democratic leader, pressed the committee on Sunday to begin investigating and make a preliminary report within 10 days. She demanded to know who knew of the messages, whether Foley had other contacts with pages and when the Republican leadership was notified of Foley's conduct.

"Republican leaders have admitted to knowing about Mr. Foley's outrageous behavior for six months to a year, and they chose to cover it up rather than to protect these children," she wrote.

Congressional pages, a staple of Washington politics since the 1820s, are high school students who serve as temporary gofers in the House and Senate. The program nearly ended in the early 1980s due to alleged sexual misconduct and drug use.

Republican leaders say it is their duty to ensure House pages' safety, and are now creating a toll-free hot line for pages and their families to call to confidentially report any incidents. They also will consider adopting new rules on communications between lawmakers and pages.

Foley, who is 52 and single, was co-chairman of the Congressional Missing and Exploited Children's Caucus. In a statement Friday, he said, "I am deeply sorry and I apologize for letting down my family and the people of Florida I have had the privilege to represent."

It has come at the price of a GREAT CHILUL HASHEM. It has come to Hashem having to allow his holy name to be DESECRATED so that his CHILDREN remain SAFE. Shame on all those responsible for enabling and permitting Hashem's name to be desecrated! When you save children you save the future. You save the future you save generations. You save generations you save lives. You save lives you have saved the world!!!!!!!
